Where am I five minutes after I die?

This is where we must trust the Bible. God gave life so He knows what happens afterwards and God always tells the Truth. The Bible is His Word to us. So God says, ‘His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.’ Psalm 146:4.

The living know that they shall die; but the dead know not anything … neither have they a portion forever in anything that is done under the sun. Ecclesiastes 9:5,9.

Jesus said, ‘Our friend Lazarus sleepeth, but I go that I may wake him out of sleep … then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead’. John 11:11-14.

God told Moses plainly that he would sleep , not that he would go to heaven to live with God.

But is there life beyond this sleep? Yes there is. God says, ‘Comfort one another with these words.’ Jesus is coming back a second time and at that time he will wake up, everyone who died loving Jesus. They will be resurrected, meaning to stand up again. We shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye at the last trump, for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised.’ 1 Corinthians 15:51-54. Raised young again, in full health. ‘For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout … and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first.’ 1 Thessalonians 4:16. These are the words to bring comfort.
